Clone Wars Season 6 Review

Clone Wars Season 6

Geeks, last Friday Netflix released Seasons 1-6 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Now season six will be the last in this amazing animated show. As Clone Wars is ending, Star Wars Rebels will start airing on Disney XD in fall 2014.

So I spent my Saturday watching the final 13 episodes of what is one of my all-time favorite animated shows of all-time. Now season six was an amazing final send off of one of the best animated series on Television. And even after watching my marathon I couldn’t help but want another 13 more episodes to finish this amazing 6 years together.

I’m trying hard here not to give up any spoilers, but I will say one thing. In NO way did this season finish up and answer any questions you may have had over the past 5 seasons of the show. At the end of season 5 we saw Asoka leave the Jedi Order and not know what happened to her. Well we still do know, So with that said lets talk a little about the actual amazing-ness of the final 13 episodes.

Clone Wars YodaNow the season starts off with a bang and gives us some answers about Order Sixty Six and how the Clones are all connected to the Order. Then it moves on to a slower story line with a love Triangle with Anikin, Padame and Rush Clovis. Then it follows Jar Jar and Mace Windu on a Journey and finishes with, in my opinion, the best 4 episodes of the long running animated series. It follows Yoda on his hunt for answers about Lord Sifo-Dyas and it takes him on an amazing story-line.

The Final 2 episodes were by far a work of mastery of story telling and feels. They show just how powerful Yoda can be, as well as answer many other questions you may have had after watching the Original trilogy. Now I’m not going into any more detail about the episodes because I don’t spoil it for you all.

Yoda’s final episode, the series finale, is just amazing. It leaves the series open ended if the lords at Disney want to give us a final Clone Wars movie to tie everything together.

Here is my ranking for this season on a scale of 1-5.

Story: 4.5
Voice Acting: 5
Animation: 5
Sound and Soundtrack: 5
Final Rating: 4.9 out of 5
